8 Beauty Products I Can’t Live Without This Fall/Winter

8 beauty products winter moisturize

Whenever colder weather hits my skin starts to feel significantly drier

and I have a lot more static. I practically shock myself anytime I touch anything. And I notice it especially whenever I’m in Canada because of the harsher climate drop. It’s a never ending cycle: you’re cold so you take a nice hot shower, the hot water strips all the moisture and oils out of your skin leaving it parched and dry, which the cold climate is already doing. It’s like as soon as I get out of the shower and dry off, my skin feels tight and ashy. It’s not a nice feeling but after I moisturize, it feels extra amazing. Like your giving your skin water on a desert-like day. Moisturizing is always so important, even in the summer. This is my take at least. I actually read just the other day a story on a girl who doesn’t use facial moisturizer at all and, instead, just uses some oils/ serums. Crazy! Mind blown! I just don’t think that’s a feasible thing living through such harsh temperatures {like below 20!}

If you’re with me on this then you’ll love these thirst-quenching products as much as I do. Here’s a few I can’t live without for the fall and winter months, and that really make a difference.

1. Farmacy’s Honey Potion

Like a warm hug for your face. This stuff is amazing! It’s incredibly hydrating and contains tons of antioxidants. I say “a warm hug for your face” because it warms up as you rub the gel into your face. Easily my favorite mask for the drier months.

2. Playa’s Hair Oil

My hair gets super “staticy” in the dead of winter. As soon as I put on a polyester sweater or my winter coat my hair instantly looks like I’ve just touched one of those plasma balls at the science center.

3. Sara Happ’s Lip Scrub

I always wake up with dry lips, no matter the time of year. I use her lip scrub about once every morning, but for sure every other morning. It’s made with sugar so it tastes amazing. I just apply a small amount, rub all around my lips and wipe off with a Kleenex. Boom: Smooth lips.

4. Bite’s Agave Lip Mask

Probably my favorite lip of all time. I just got it sent to me last week and have been addicted. It’s extra moisturizing and a bit thicker than most so it’ll last! It feels almost like honey {but not sticky} going on. I have it in “Candy Cane” with a pink-ish tinge. I’ve honestly tried so many different lip balms {yes, even vaseline and coconut oil} and nothing holds a candle to this stuff. You won’t be disappointed!

5. Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir

I’m not quite sure how I can describe this stuff but I’ll do my best. It’s like heaven in a bottle: when you spritz it on your face it’s like a refreshing tingling feeling and has hints of rosemary, rose, orange blossom, and mint- basically all of my favorite scents rolled into one bottle. I wake up at 5:30am nearly every day and, as you can imagine, don’t look the best. This stuff is like a quick shot to wake you up with refreshing and energizing your skin. It works as a toner and face serum simultaneously.

6. Oribe’s Cote D’azur Hand Cream

It smells amazing, is rich with shea butter, and non-greasy. Plus, it’s cruelty-free and vegan!

7. Bioeffect EFG Serum

Like youth in a jar. This stuff is amazing and you only need to apply 2-4 drops {I only use 2 drops and mix with my nightly moisturizer} so it’ll last for a long time. Read more on it here.

8. St. Tropez’s Self Tan Bronzing Mousse

Winter is coming, which means tan’s fade and the pale skin sets in. I don’t know what it is exactly about a tan that makes me feel more attractive but it does. In other words, this stuff is never without me during fall and winter.
