It’s hard to believe that just in September, Kevin popped the big question and now we’re planning a wedding! It’s all happening so fast that I haven’t really taken a moment to sit back and reflect. This engagement party was the perfect way to commemorate our biggest moment yet. Surrounded by all of our closest friends and family, this was definitely a black tie event I’ll never forget.
We chose to have the dress code black tie optional as our wedding will also be black tie. We wanted a rustic vibe (for him) with an elegant, classic charm (for me). I believe a bit of contrast can be really visually appealing. A night full of laughs, love, and champagne, of course. I’ve truly never felt more blessed than sharing this amazing night with the most wonderful people and my -incredibly handsome- future hubby. As you can tell from all the smiling, my cheeks hurt by the end of the night. It was truly a dream come true.
Kevin and I are typically both on the same page when it comes to anything really, although we have different tastes, our style seems to flow together seamlessly. And, with that, our event sort of just flowed together perfectly. We both simultaneously agreed on the perfect place, an in sync dress code, and the perfect playlist. As weird as it sounds, I never really had a moment to let it sink in that we’re actually on track to get married until we sent out the invites. I feel like that’s when I had my “OMG” moment. Since then, things have really sunk in, and ending the engagement party off on such a perfect note has really got me excited to start planning our wedding. Special thanks to Crash Hotel for the space and incredible food. It was truly the perfect way to kick off spending the rest of our lives together.
